Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition

In its fourth edition, Europe’s biggest innovation event was held in a location chosen to make it more accessible to visitors: Fiera di Roma.

More than 100,000 m2 were available to allow makers to display their projects, conferences, workshops, and light talks.

Home automation, reuse, drones and robots, 3D printing, digital manufacturing, industry 4.0, the Internet of things, technology applied to means of transport, to cooking, fashion, and music. These were some of the themes that Maker Faire Rome 2016 represented and introduced, to allow the audience to “hands on” with.

Issues were dealt with in the form of projects/prototypes, workshops, conferences, shows, and performance, to give life to the greatest and most widely recognized European event on innovation within the reach of everyone – even the youngest.

For the Kids Area, Maker Faire Rome dedicated more and more space every year, in which – with the principle of “learning by doing” – innovation and technology are explored and learned through fun, excitement, and a bit of pizzazz.
